“Some days at the lagoon move to a different rhythm.”
Back in 2021, Nopalitos became the setting for BOBBY, a collaboration between German artists Veysel and Jamule.
We remember productions like this because they temporarily change the rhythm of the place.
For a few hours, familiar corners become sets. The deck becomes a stage. The lagoon becomes part of the frame. Then the cameras leave and everything returns to Nopalitos.

There is something interesting about watching a creative team arrive with an idea and find their own way of using the landscape. Places we know for swimming, gathering or simply sitting by the water suddenly become something completely different through a camera.
And then, just as quickly, the lagoon becomes quiet again.
Years later, it's also a small time capsule for us — a glimpse of Nopalitos during a period when NEEK was still taking shape and creative productions were beginning to discover what could happen around this water.
It's one of many stories the lagoon has collected along the way.
